Sweet Potato Flour is an incredible addition to gluten-free baking. At one point I found this flour vital to making the gluten-free, yeast-free breads in this cookbook. The sweet potato flour is a starchy flour derived from white sweet potatoes. As an added benefit, the flour is high in fiber.
Currently there is no longer a supplier for this flour. The original supplier completely changed the flour and it is no longer a starchy flour suitable for this recipe. I am working hard to develop recipes that do not use this flour as I know many in other countries had also been having difficulty obtaining it. I have updated the breadsticks, bread and pizza crust recipes to eliminate this flour.
Needless to say I am always looking for additional resources for sweet potato flour so if you come across any please contact me. I tried many brands from Asian markets and none have been suitable substitutes.
